Winding Down in Washington

Our son David arrived home after taking the red eye flights from Seattle back to Montgomery. He drove Val’s car home from the airport and will pick us up late Friday evening when we get in.

Our son-in-law Cole was back to work today, so it was just Val, Malcolm, our daughter Elizabeth and the two granddaughters today. It was a pretty low key day. Malcolm is in the middle of a cold and Val is slowly shaking hers off. Lots of sniffles, sneezes and coughing today.

The above mentioned contingent packed up this morning and headed to the grocery. Malcolm picked up a GoPro HD video camera for special video projects during our travels. We loaded the groceries and headed home.

During nap time, Malcolm and Val headed to a store that sells loose leaf teas. Val picked up a selection to send home. We also stopped to pick up a knitting needle to finish off some gloves for our older granddaughter Violet.

Dinner was burgers on the grill and crinkle cut fries (Malcolm’s favorite). After dinner, Malcolm’s cold was getting the best of him so he retired early to rest up for our last full day here tomorrow. Malcolm stretched out on the bed in our son-in-law’s travel trailer (our quarters for our visit) and typed up this blog entry.

See y’all tomorrow.
