Home Again

Current Location: Fort Toulouse Campground, Wetumpka, Alabama

We rolled into the campground at 10:00 PM this evening after flying home from Seattle and visiting the family. I missed a few days posting while we were gone, so I’ll catch up some happenings over the last few days.

On Friday, we walked over to a nearby nature park with Violet. On the way, we passed a house that had a pig and two goats out in a fenced in side yard. On the way back by, the pig actually came over to check us out. It seemed very friendly. One of the goats was a little more leary and kept its distance. No pictures of the animals, as we were carrying Violet on the way back and phones were not handy. Here are some other pictures from the outing, though.

Of course, there was requisite cuddling on the couch with Nana and Pa.

And Friday night dinner at the other grandparents’ house. It was also “boot night”. Violet, Pa and Mommy wore their cowboy boots to dinner.

We were obviously sad to leave, but glad to get home to the trailer and especially glad to find everything intact despite some weather that rolled through while we were gone. The trailer weather station shows 8.5 inches of rain last week.
