Still here in town. Malcolm is working. Val is working, too – getting geared up for the wedding that she is coordinating this Saturday. Malcolm will be photographing. He is pretty much ready – all the camera batteries are charged, memory cards all ready, bag is packed full of equipment.
Malcolm may be working on a side opportunity as we travel, aside from his regular employment. More news on that as it becomes available. Other than that, just the usual home stuff going on.
Oh, our trailer dealer – Dixie RV – called Malcolm on Monday and he missed the call. He called them back Tuesday morning and found out that our replacement awning is in and ready to be installed. We’ll head there first on Monday of next week. It’s about a 3 hour drive and we told them we’d be there about 1:00 PM.
They should have us out the door by 5:00 or so. We’ll find somewhere nearby to camp for the night (if not even on their lot), then head on north towards Kentucky from there. Not exactly “on the way”, but we’ll be excited to get the last of our warranty items fixed.
Speaking of warranty items – now that we’ve been living in our trailer for 6 months now, we’ve really not had many items fail. Sure, Malcolm has had to fix an item here or there, but nothing major and nothing typically needing a part. We’ve been really happy with the quality of our trailer and hope it lasts for many years to come.
