Current Location: Fort Toulouse Campground, Wetumpka, Alabama

This afternoon, Val prepared desert and dinner for our son for his birthday out at the trailer. He and his roommate came out. It was great weather to sit outside and eat. We also invited one of our camp hosts, Nathan, out to join us since his birthday is this Thursday.

What we didn’t tell Nathan is that we invited the other camp hosts, the maintenance man and his wife and grandchild and Nathan’s daughter and his granddaughters to come out and join us for cake and ice cream. He was pleasantly surprised when people kept showing up with chairs, ice cream and gifts. It was a great evening.
