Thursday, Val and David ventured downtown to check out the weekly Farmer’s Market. Malcolm has been working every day, still spending close to an hour each way to and from work.

Today (Friday), after Malcolm got home from work, we headed to downtown El Cajon and ate dinner at the restaurant “Por Favor“. It was very good Mexican cuisine. We sat on the outdoor patio.

After dinner, we walked another block and set up our folding chairs so we could listen to the band playing at the Promenade. It was a big band/swing band and they were pretty good. There was a big crowd there. The city sponsors the music every Friday evening and it seems to be well attended.

There are at least three restaurants bordering the park that have outdoor seating so that you could get a table and hear the music. We might try that next week.
