Current Location: Fort Toulouse Campground, Wetumpka, Alabama
We left Lafayette around 8:00 this morning and drove, event-free, straight on to Wetumpka. We arrived here in Fort Toulouse around 4:30. We set up in a different spot than usual. We have always stayed in site #32 every time we’ve been here, but this is the first time it was taken. Plus, we wanted to be across from our good friend, Nathan Black, who was, and will soon again be the camp host here.
We’ll be here for three nights and will leave Thursday morning for the Georgia Heartland Owners’ Club regional rally.
After we set up, we called our son and he came over with his roommate. We all four went out to eat and made a trip to WalMart to pick up a few items, then back to the trailer. We packed up David’s car with several items of his we’ve been carrying in the trailer since he flew home from San Diego. We have a few other odds and ends we’ll take over to the house, as well. All part of the ritual of moving things you don’t use out of the trailer.
The next couple of days will be a whirlwind of activities and appointments.
