Texas Renaissance Festival

Current Location: Traders Village RV Park, Houston, Texas

Friday was pretty quiet. Malcolm went to work, then headed back to the trailer for lunch, then again at dinner time. He grilled steaks outside while Val heated up leftovers from Thursday’s dinner. After dinner, we headed over to JoAnn Fabrics to get some fabric and to Target to pick up a couple things. We explored the shopping in the area, then tried to find a frozen yogurt place. Didn’t find one, but found a Baskin Robbins and had some ice cream there.

Today (Saturday), we headed up to the Texas Renaissance Festival. We got there fairly early before the crowds got dense. It rained off and on while we were driving there, and again a couple times while we were walking around. The rain eventually conspired to make it very hot and humid by lunch time. We both were all sweaty and tired by mid-afternoon, so we headed back home to shower and put on fresh clothes.

After freshening up, we headed out to Goode Company BBQ for dinner. It was excellent. The brisket was the best we’ve both had. They even had pop in bottles. Very good place to eat and highly recommended if you are in the Houston area.

Here are some pictures from the Renaissance Festival:
