Yesterday, we worked our shift at the Heartland Owners Club table in the morning and spent a good part of the day walking around the RV Show some more. We also took time to chat with the owner of the Nashville KOA who had a booth at the show. Since it looks like we’ll be more frequent guests of Nashville, she said to let her know when we’re coming in and she’ll work with us on a “frequent visitor” rate.
We also stopped by the Escapees table and signed up, so we’re now official Escapees members. Part of the reason we signed up is to subsequently sign up for their mail forwarding service. Within a few weeks, we will have a Texas mailing address. It doesn’t make us Texas residents yet, though. For that, we’ll have to transfer the truck and trailer licenses to Texas, get drivers licenses there, register to vote and a couple other things to make Texas our domicile. Malcolm’s work has already indicated they’ll be glad to say that Malcolm works from one of the Texas offices for the company.
Today we started prepping the trailer to pull out tomorrow morning. We put some things away and did our usual pre-moving day stuff to reduce time needed to get ready on travel day. Though we could go all the way home in one (long) day, we plan on traveling both Sunday and Monday and taking it easy along the way.
This afternoon, we worked our last shift at the Heartland Owners Club table. Part of the fun is talking to other potential owners about Heartland products and our full-time lifestyle. There are also Heartland reps there and it is fun to bend their ears, give them feedback about what we like or don’t like and find out things they’re looking at incorporating in future products. It definitely is more than just sitting at a table handing out literature to potential club members.
As promised, here are some random pictures from the show.
