One More Snow Day Then Back Outside

Current Location: Fort Toulouse Campground, Wetumpka, Alabama

We awoke Wednesday morning with the admonition that all local roads, schools and most businesses were still closed. Malcolm worked at the trailer again and Val caught up on her scrapbooks. Not much else going on other than meals and dishes.

This morning around 10:00, despite the fact our local county had not yet officially opened the roads, we warmed up and scraped off both trucks and Malcolm headed to work while Val headed to the house. The roads were all dry, the bridges pretty much all covered in sand and the temperatures were rising above freezing and melting off everything. There were hundreds of people out and about and, as it turns out, the county had opened the roads by the time we were moving.

This evening we ate dinner at the house and did a little packing and cleanup, but not much. We’ll probably hit it harder this weekend.
