North Texas Rally – Day 2

Current Location: Coffee Creek RV Resort, Santo, Texas

This morning, several of the men cooked breakfast for everyone up at the rally center. We had eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits (but sadly no gravy), fruit and other things that folks brought up. It was a great start to the day. There were a couple activities outside, but it was cool, windy and threatening to rain all day. We stayed in the rest of the morning and ate lunch in the trailer.

At 12:30, they had a group tour of various coaches arranged, so we gave the open house treatment and showed several people the various modifications to our coach. This afternoon, we relaxed some more – Malcolm has been battling allergies. We did run over to help Flora Tayloe set up her new computer and visited with her for a while.

This evening was group picture time, then a barbecue dinner with the meats and some of the sides supplied by a local RV dealer. Others brought pitch-in foods, as well. It was a great dinner. Afterwards, door prizes were given away. We won a Mexican Train domino set. Several people stayed in the rally center to play games.

Val and I headed back to the coach to watch our UK Wildcats play in the NCAA Final Four via the computer. The park doesn’t have cable TV and we don’t have satellite, but the Internet pulled through so we watched the game off and on via laptop.

Here are several pictures Malcolm took with his cameras today.
