Kentucky Rally

Current Location: Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

As promised, I will tell you more about the first night of the Rally here in Kentucky.

There are about 15 or so rigs here and everyone is having a great time! On Friday night, The Kentucky Rally officially kicked off with a lot of fun and laughter at the meet and greet. After eating, introductions and announcements, three couples were randomly chosen to play “The Not So Newlywed Game” hosted by Dick and Fran Bernard. The couples were Byrd and Nathan Mathis, Tom and Millie Combs and Dave and Julie Yocum. The questions and answers had everyone doubled over laughing!

Today started out with breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. Everyone enjoyed the day on their own while getting items for the scavenger hunt. I headed to the hospital in hopes of bringing Malcolm home today since he had let me know that his fever had not gone up overnight! A little while after I got there, the surgeon’s partner came in and said that everything was looking good, no fever and that we could go home!!!! We were packed, loaded and out of there as soon as they gave him his “walking” papers. By noon, we was back at our rig and he was fixing himself some lunch as I was getting ready to head to a beginner’s drop spindle class at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival.

This evening’s potluck was great with lots of wonderful food choices. YUMMY!!! There were three winners in the scavenger hunt, they had collected ALL the items on the list (we were short 2 items). After dinner, We had 50’s and 60’s music and dancing with Bonnie and Friends. Awesome group, playing some great music. We found out that we have several very good dancers in our club. Malcolm and I headed back to the rig a little early as he was getting tired but he was at least able to enjoy dinner and the festivities tonight.
