Friday and Saturday

Current Location: Fort Toulouse Campground, Wetumpka, Alabama

On Friday, Malcolm took the rental car back to Enterprise after work. Val picked him up there and we headed back to the trailer to grill dinner out. David came by to spend the night. After dinner, we headed to the storage unit to put a couple boxes away and grab a couple others. After that, we all three stopped in to DQ for an ice cream treat.

This morning Malcolm and David did a little maintenance work on the microwave, putting some foam weatherstripping around the exhaust fan outlet and putting some under the cabinet to help keep the microwave from rocking and squeaking in its mount. It helped immensely.

After the microwave fix, Malcolm and Val went out to run a couple errands, getting flu shots at Walgreens and picking up a couple items at the grocery. We came back to say goodbye to David as he heads to his duty station at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City. He drove away about 10:30 am. It is about a 3 hour drive and he was stopping on the way to visit a friend.

After David left, we stopped by to drop off a few boxes to the thrift store (picture frames), then headed to the do-it-yourself car wash and gave the truck a well-deserved bath and vacuuming. We headed into town and had lunch at Panera Bread then headed over to do a couple small loads of laundry. After that, it was back to the trailer. We sat outside with a box full of picture albums and emptied the pictures out of the albums into the growing box of pictures to scan.

After that, we cooked and ate dinner, then sat down to sort out the pictures by size since the scanner does better with multiple pictures when they are all the same size.

Tomorrow is church and a couple of last day visits, then we head out on the road Monday morning.
