Happy Valentine’s Day

Current Location: Lone Star Jellystone Park, Waller, Texas

We wrapped up the week a little early. Malcolm had his 40 hours at the office by 2:00 PM on Friday, so he drove the rental car to Enterprise to turn it in. Val picked him up and we headed back to the trailer for the afternoon. Val did laundry while Malcolm took care of a couple small items around the trailer. After laundry, we ate dinner then drove down to the outlet mall to walk around a bit and grab some hot beverages at Starbucks.

Today we slept in a bit and had breakfast. We drove over to Hempstead and stopped at WalMart to pick up some sandpaper and paint. Once back at the trailer, Malcolm sanded the rust off the supports for our leveling legs and painted them black again. Not sure why they wanted to rust so bad. They look much better now, though.

Malcolm also put new batteries in the tire pressure monitor sensors on the truck. He figured out how to get the ones off and back on to the inside dually wheels without taking wheels off. This is a major breakthrough. (Well, not totally, but helpful).

Today we did a little shopping in Houston and Katy and had Valentine’s Day dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Katy.

We’re hanging around in the area for another couple of days even though Malcolm doesn’t need to go back into the office here. We’ll go to church in Katy tomorrow, then work on packing up and cleaning up in the trailer in preparation for leaving on Monday morning. We’ll be heading west, eventually arriving in San Diego in a couple weeks.
